TOUR ITINERARY

1st day – Manali
you will be met and greeted by our staff and transferred to your hotel. A relaxed ride today to acclimatise and get used to your Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet. Your will get opportunity to do some local sightseeing and shopping.

2nd day Manali to Shoju 2623m – 110 km
Today we ride towards South towards Bajar Valley to Soja (2683 mts). From Manali we take a ride till Bhuntar where we take left turn to Parvati Valley, following Parvati river we reach Manikaran (temple complex with hot springs), have a lunch and go back to Bhuntar where aim for beautifull Bajar Valley, enjoying views around finely we reach Soja village (6km from Bajar) stay night here.

3rd day Shoja to Sarahan 1920 m – 110 km
After breakfast we start heading east into the Tribal Regions. The next stop is Sarahan were we will be visiting the Bhimakali Temple. Opposite this temple is the Lankra Vir Temple where human sacrifices occurred until the 18th century. Then to our campsite for the night.

4th day Sarahan to Sangala 2900 – 54km
About 54 km from Sarahan lies in the Sangla valley. The road to Sangla is narrow, rough, and hazardous, taking one through Wangtu and Karchham. The Sutlej River that meanders below now emerges in all its frenzied ferocity. The sheer force with which it gushes down makes it awesome. The road to Sangla is crudely carved out of rocks and runs parallel to the river that is deep down in the forge. At some places, there is barely enough space for the bus to wriggle through the rough road and the rock above. Sangla Valley is also famous for its natural beauty and few old villages. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

5th day Sangala to Chhitkul 3450m to Rekong Peo 2290 –105 -6 hour
Visit to Chitkul on day 05 of tribal tour for Kinnaur and Spiti Valley Chitkul is the highest and the last village in the region at the height of 9000 feet above mean sea level. We continue east and head to Rekong Peo. We will check into a guesthouse. There is a stunning view of Mount Kailash from here where it is said the Lord Shiva, head of the Hindu gods spends the monsoon. In the morning we will be arranging our inner line permits for the restricted area we must travel through on our next leg of our journey.

6th day Rekong Peo to Nako 3662- 125km -6-7 hour
Morning on your bikes to Nako enroute visiting confluence of river Satluj & Spiti at Khab. From here we continue our climb up to Nako. On arrival check in at camp. Evening free to explore Nako village which is located on banks of a lake and visit the monastery. Evening visit the village, the Buddhist temples with stucco images and murals and a rock where a footprint like impression is ascribed to Padmasambhava. Overnight at camp.

7th day Nako to Kaza 3600
On the way to Kaza we will pass Dankar monastery(an ancient monastery build in 12 century, over a
ridge. Stay night in hotel in Kaza and next morning take a ride to Key Monastery-the oldest and biggest monastic complex standing on the hill in the Spiti valley)/Kibberr (4400), 8km from Key village-highest village in the world  with a motor able road and electricity)/evening come back to Kaza/email phone calls.

8th day Kaza to Chhatdu 4320
On your bikes from Kaza to base of Chandertal lake enroute crossing some very beautiful villages of Spiti Valley and crossing over Kunzam pass (4558 m). On arrival check in at camp. Rest of the day free to explore the surrounding.

9th day Chhatdu to Jispa
After Gramphu its a relatively smooth ride till Jispa (20 km ahead of Keylong) where you’ll be able to snuggle in a soft, warm bed once again (and enjoy a hot shower) in a beautiful Guest House right on the banks of Bhaga, a river originating from Suraj Taal (Sun Lake) also near Baralacha La. The Chandra & Bhaga rivers meet at Tandi (which is also the last fuel station before Leh) & together form the Chandrabhaga river which is renamed as “Chenab” in Jammu & Kashmir state. Jispa is small village, mainly serving as a convenient stop-over on the way to Ladakh.

10th day Jispa to Sarchu
Today we pass over the Bara Lacha La Pass (4830mtrs), (73 km from Keylong)-the originating point of Chandra,Bhaga and Yunam rivers. And into Sarchu for a night of camping under the stars. Camp faire.

11th day Sarchu to Leh
Today takes you over three passes-Nakee La Pass (4740mtrs) , Lachulang La Pass (5066mtrs) and Tanglang La Pass (5,359 mtrs). It is, however, the second highest motorable mountain pass in India after Khardung La Pass. Today long ride. Evening arrive Leh and checked into a very comfortable hotel. Shop, walk the streets, dinner, relax and good sleep.

12th day Rest day in Leh

13th day Leh to Khardung la to Nubra Valley
Over the highest motor able road in the world, Khardung La (18,380 ft) and into Nubra Valley. We will be surrounded by towering snow capped Himalayas and will be getting within 50 km of the Chinese border. Rare two humped Camels can be found here in the Desert at 12,400 ft. (100 km)

14th day Nubra Valley to Leh

15th day Leh to Pangong Lake
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft., it is the third highest motorable road in the world. Arrive Pangong, which is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake. Overnight in camp.

16th day Pangong Lake to Leh
After Breakfast drive back to Leh, enroute visit Hemis, Thikse Monastery and Shey Palace. Overnight at hotel.

17th day Leh to Tsomoriri
Today you’ll leave Leh, to visit the second high altitude lake on this tour, following the Leh-Manali highway till Upshi (Check-point). Turning left from here the road will take you along the banks of river Indus to Mahe (Bridge & Check-point). Turning south from here the road goes past the village Sumdo and over Namshang La (4739 M) after which its down hill to another small but beautiful lake called Tso Kiagar. The road here turns into just a sandy dusty track sprinkled with loose gravel all the way to Tso Moriri (4541 M) and the village of Korzok. Accommodation is in comfortable tented camps inclusive of all meals.

18th day Tsomoriri to Sarchu
We take a rugged but safe track to reach the Leh-Manali road, next to Pang. Road straight to the south till Sarchu. Camping. The region is the refuge of many animal species that we come across while trekking: wild hares, thick fur marmots, white partridges, ibex, wild donkeys from Tibet (Kyangs), wolves and if lucky, some very very rare snow leopards.

19th day Sarchu to Manali
Last stage of the rally, which is one of the longest but definitely worthy! Early departure towards the south till Manali. Night spent at a comfortable guest house.

20th day
After breakfast the morning is free to go local sightseeing, a famous religious & tourist spot.
